Thank you to  The Real Estreya for giving me permission to feature her beautiful daughter, Stasia, reading in front of the library.

Classic Olan Mills Library Background

I’m pretty sure this picture was taken over 25 years ago, because I have one almost just like it.  Not the flannel shirts, but the fake library background.  Olan Mills, the chain of photography studios, offered the books as a background along with black, blue, white, etc.  Of course, I jumped at the chance to be in a picture with books and so did this family.  By the way, don’t ask me about the telemarketing job I had with Olan Mills in college where I worked exactly one day.  Image:  Team-Zebra

Arthur Reading to the Girls Vintage

Ms. Rowley labeled her picture as  “Arthur reading to the girls” and tagged it “Ancestors”.  Image:  Jan Rowley

What a lovely collection of photos! Yes, the top one of Stasia is especially sweet. How I wish more young people would stash away their electronic gadgets and immerse themselves in the simple and quiet pleasure of reading a book.
